Rural Areas Development Council- Al-Irshad

Who We Are

Dr Waheed Mughal (https://waheedmughal.com) founded Irshad Welfare Trust in 1994 to commemorate his late mother Irshad Begum. The purpose of the trust was to help the poor students in subdivision Pind Dadan Khan, district Jhelum, Pakistan. He also established Irshad Rural Welfare society in 1998 to expand the trust activities in other sectors such as health, human rights, public awareness and women development.
Dr Waheed Mughal founded Rural Areas Development Council in 1999. Irshad Welfare Trust and Irshad Rural Welfare Society were emerged in the Council, and it was named Rural Areas Development Council- Al-Irshad’ (RADC-Al-Irshad).
 
RADC-Al-Irshad is a non-profit organisation registered under the Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration & Control) Ordinance 1961 (X1. V1 1961), vide registration No. DDSW/RWP/97-0627. This is also registered with Punjab Charity Commission via registration number PB-JLM-3351554969600775.
 
RADC-Al-Irshad is not for profit organization. It is not involved in any trade or profitable business within or outside the country. All the projects carried out on no- profit, no- loss basis. Membership fees, donations and sponsorships are main sources of income.

Our Mission and Vision

Our mission is to bring awareness leading to development in the subdivision Pind Dadan Khan, district Jhelum. Diversity and inclusiveness are key parts of our mission.

Our vision is to uplift the underprivileged, disadvantaged, and deprived communities living in the remote rural areas through education.
Our slogan is ‘we share rural development’.
